./ At "When Worlds Collide" in December of 2001, Shady, Sho'Nuff, and Snipe showed that they were the kings of extreme; former tag partners Dominion and Triple X picked up where they left off after Dominion's absence; the Lost Boyz, Anton & Duztyn, were still on top of the tag division; Special K and Your Fn Hero redefined the ladder match; and Brutal Brandon was mad that he had no one to defend his title against at "When Worlds Collide." The first show of 2002 was Final Countdown (which was delayed from 2001). Snipe found a new challenge for the Extreme division as he was defeated by Minion of Pain in a 3 Stages of Hell match. Duztyn almost defeated his father, Mr. Skair-E, until Anton came out. Though Anton was trying to help, his interference cost Duztyn the match. Special K defeated Shaw to keep the Louisiana Title when Hero's interference backfired on Shaw. In the main event, after interference from both Shaw & Special K, Brandon defeated Hero to keep the World Title. But Brandon wanted to beat Hero with no questions asked, and it was only a matter of time before a rematch occured. A few weeks later on Voltage, Minion of Pain was wrestling a match, but was attacked by Snipe. Junior X Ec came out and asked what the hell he was doing. Dominion said on behalf of the Executive that since Snipe never went through both tables in the Final Countdown match, Snipe is still the Extreme Champion. Dominion and Snipe then attacked JXE and left him laying in the ring. Both the Lost Boyz and Hendricks Boyz continued to have problems as Brandon didn't approve of Special K's "win by any means necessary" philosophy while Duztyn was getting tired of Anton's help that only provided a distraction during his match. Duztyn, who was wrestling his third match of the day, and Anton won the match when Special K grabbed a trash can lid, but missed when he tried to attack Duztyn. The show ended with Junior X Ec back in the ring. He accused Dominion and Executive of being the same person. Dominion made his way to the ring and shocked the world by telling JXE he was right. Snipe came out and the attacked JXE again and said that X13 was never dead. The next week, Shaw won the La. Title from Special K, Anton turned on Duztyn to join X13, and Special K turned on Brutal Bradon. It was also revealed the Dominion, Hero, and Triple X were brothers and Triple X turned on Dominion in June 2001 because he knew of his plans and wanted nothing to do with it. DCW's next big shows were Power Stuggle and Power Struggle Fall Out. (The show had to be split into two parts due to scheduling conflicts.) Power Struggle featured Anton vs. Duztyn in a "Get Lost Ladder Match", where the loser would have to leave DCW and a 6 man tag, X13 vs. DCW. Anton had help from Snipe and Major Pain, but Minion of Pain and Mr. Skair-E provided Duztyn with back up. Duztyn was victorious and Anton was out of DCW. X13 was only Snipe and Major Pain and no one knew what happened to their third member. Team DCW was originially suppose to be the Cowboys From Hell (Shaw, Hero, and Triple X). But instead it was Hero, Triple X, and Sho'Nuff. DCW had the upper hand, but Sho'Nuff revealed himself to be part of X13. At Power Stuggle Fall Out, the Executive came out and although sad about losing Anton, he was proud to announce X13's newest member, Romeo. Romeo turned out to be Anton with a new gimmick. Snipe put an open challenge for the Extreme Title out. Hero wanted Snipe in the ring, but didn't care about the title. In the middle of the match, Duztyn came out and pinned Snipe saying that no one had accepted the open challenege for the Extreme Title. Snipe later wrestled and lost to LCWA hardcare champion Silent Violence. This would be the last appearance of LCWA before the promotion folded. The main event featured Special K wrestling his brother Brutal Brandon for the World Title. Special K won the match cleanly to become the new World Champion. A few weeks later in a rematch, Special K received help from Dominion and Snipe and became the newest member of X13. Brutal Brandon left in discust and wouldn't be seen for a while. DCW Commissioner Pimp Master P was upset and saw X13 getting the upper hand on DCW. They had the World and Tag Titles. DCW would get even at Retribution. The main event would be Snipe and Dominion defending the Tag Titles against the Outlawz, Hero and Triple X. However, X13 had a chance to walk out with all of the titles. Shaw was upset that he gave Sho'Nuff the opportunity to team with the Outlawz and Power Struggle, only to turn on them. Shaw wanted a match with Sho'Nuff, but Sho'Nuff won and walked out with Louisiana Title. Duztyn put the Extreme Title up in a battle royal, but was able to hold on to it with help from Mr. Skair-E and Minion of Pain, now known as the Inner Circle. The Outlawz defeated the members of X13 to win the tag titles as momentum began to swing DCW's way. The week after Retribution, it was announced that a new title would be created, the Crescent City Title. A tournament would be held in the upcoming weeks with the finals taking place at Crescent City Showdown. The finals came down to Triple X and Duztyn and the main event was Hero vs. Special K for the World Title in a last man standing match. Triple X won to become the first Crescent City Champion. In the match for the World Title, Special K had some help. Blackishi and Menace came out and attacked Hero. But Triple X came out and cahsed them to the back. Snipe came out and tried to Snipe Hero but Hero moved and he Sniped Special K. Assassin came out and hit Snipe with the Assassination and ran him out of the ring. Dominion came out and gave hero the Hit, but Hurricane made his return to DCW and hit Dominion with the Eye of the Storm. Special K had the upper hand and went to finisher off Hero, but Brutal Brandon came out and hit Special K with the Brutal Neckbreaker. After both men got up, Special K grabbed a trash can lid and tried to hit Hero, but Hero ducked and kicked the lid into Special K's face and Special K could not get up for 10 as Hero won the World Title. After the match, Dominion, angry at Snipe, gave him the hit and kicked him out of X13. Dominion, frustrated with X13 losing, sold DCW to Pimp Master P and the Arena to Mr. Skair-E. Special K suffered an outside the ring injury and would be out of action for the rest of the year. Although Hurricane and Brutal Brandon made returns to DCW, it was only temporary as it would be a while before either would be seen again. Part Two |
