Special K won the Louisiana Title against Hero in a ladder match at When Worlds Collide. He later went on to defeat his brother Brutal Brandon for the World Title. He later lost the World Title to Hero at Crescent City Showdown in a last man standing match. Two weeks later, Special K suffered an injury that put him out of action for a long period of time. He is anxiously awaiting his return to the ring.
